Stussy Aloha Oxford Collection

Lo sò, lo sò, purtroppo l’estate sta finendo quì da noi ma ci sono zone del mondo in cui il sole la fa da padrone per la maggior parte dell’anno, come ad esempio nella città di Honolulu – capitale delle Hawaii – le cui essensialità maggiori dell’isola sono: Sole, mare, paesaggi mozzafiato e la cultura hawaiana.

Queste essensialità sono state fonte d’ispirazione per Jules Gayton, membro dello Stussy Tribe e partner dello store Stussy di Honolulu, che ha disegnato una piccola collezione composta da due camicie button-downs con dei dettagli interni, diverse t-shirts tra cui anche delle pocket tees e in aggiunta anche una serie di tote bags in canvas fatte da Black Pine Workshop.

Questa collezione “Aloha Oxford” è disponibile presso lo Stussy Honolulu, Stussy Guam e Stussy.com in quantità naturalmente limitate.

I know, I know, unfortunately the summer is ending here but there are some areas of the world where the sun is the host for most of the year, such as in the city of Honolulu – Hawaii’s capital - which the island’s essentials are: Sun, sea, breathtaking landscapes and the Hawaiian culture.

These essentials were the inspiration for Jules Gayton, an original Stussy Tribe member & Honolulu Chapter partner , who designed a small collection that consists in two shirts button-downs with internal details, different t-shirts including the pocket tees and in addition a series of canvas tote bags crafted by Black Pine Workshop.

This collection “Aloha Oxford” is available at the Stussy Honolulu, Stussy Guam and Stussy.com, naturally in limited quantity.

Stussy x Champion ‘Rochester Collection’

La ‘Rochester Collection’, nata dalla collaborazione tra Stussy e Champion, è ispirata ai loghi e il vestiario delle Università USA. Le felpe e i giacconi, che hanno subito un trattamento speciale per un look vintage, sono stati realizzati con materiali di alta qualità per una lunga resistenza dei capi nel tempo. La data da segnarsi per il lancio è il 10 Settembre in tutti i Stussy chapter storse.

The “Rochester Collection”, a collaboration between Stussy and Champion, is inspired by the logos and clothing of the University of USA. The sweatshirts and jackets,made with a special treatment for a vintage look, are made with high quality materials for a long resistance over time. The date to mark down for the launch is September 10th at all Stussy chapter stores.

Stussy x Medicom Toy Bearbrick Speaker System

Oggetistica da “streetaroli”. Il Bearbrick di Medicom Toy, si siede e alloggia sotto i piedi un dock system per ospitare gli apparecchi della famiglia Apple. Un’idea che aveva già sviluppato, e che ripropone per Stussy.

Negli ultimi giorni stiamo cercando di postare meno prodotto, e più video che possano approfondire il livello di conoscenza su questo mondo. Per fortuna Stussy ci viene incontro e a 5 anni dalla release del progetto Stussy World Tour, accompagnata dall’uscita di un mini movie, il brand taglia e pubblica on line un gruppo di video interviste personali ad alcuni di quei 40 soggetti che nel 2006 furono chiamati a partecipare al progetto (del quale potete trovare tutte le info qui). Nomi già sentiti e risentiti, magari proprio aver messo la loro firma su un prodotto d’abbigliamento, ma che in primis nascono artisti capaci di portare innovazione nel loro ambito, e di arrivare a suscitare tanto interesse da essere fonte d’attrazione per un brand.

In last days we are trying to post less products and more video that can deepen the level of knowledge of this world. Luckily, Stussy comes to us and 5 years after release of the Stussy World Tour project, accompanied from the mini-movie, the brand cut and past online a group of video interviews with some of those 40 subjects who were called in 2006 to participate in the project (which you can find more info here). Names may have already heard and resentful, perhaps even putting their signature on a product of clothing, but first and foremost artists are born able to lead innovation in their field, and coming to elicit much interest from being a source of attraction for a brand.

La crew di Stussy Las Vegas ci porta attraverso un viaggio estivo di una giorno nella periferia della città. Prima hanno colpito una pazzo del deserto abbandonato per un pomeriggio divertente per poi dirigersi verso la piscina per rinfrescarsi durante una sessione di nuoto notturna.

The Stussy Las Vegas crew takes us through a summer day trip on the outskirts of sin city. First they hit an abandoned patch of desert for some afternoon fun and then head to the pool to cool off during a night time swim session.

Il 9 luglio doveste averlo già segnato in agenda se vi interessano le limited edition da collezione. E’ la data d’uscita di questa capsule collection tra Stussy e Nike, composta da quattro Sky Force 88 Mid. Alto è l’hype su questa release, di cui finalmente si hanno le immagini, composta da due scarpe in Quickstrike e due in TierZero, che posso già dirvi troverete anche in Italia. Per celebrarne l’uscita Stussy rilascerà anche una t-shirt commemorativa.

JJ Villard x Stussy Summer 2011 Capsule Collection

Nella Summer 2011 collection, Stussy inserisce una capsule collection firmata dall’animatore JJ Vilard. Diplomato alla CalArts, JJ ha lavorato su grandi film di Hollywood come Shrek Terzo, Shrek Forever After e Mostri vs. Alieni prima di sbarcare sul suo progetto attuale su Cartoon Network/Adult Swim. I lavori personali di JJ sono drasticamente differenti dal lavori di profilo alto per i quali è conosciuto. Ispirato dalla cultura pop anni ’80, film degli orrori e dagli oggetti della natura più scura, JJ usa l’idea del sketchbook come base d’sipirazione per queste t-shirt, come ci racconta nel video che segue. Le maglie sono in vendita sul sito di Stussy e presto negli chapter stores.

The Stussy Summer 2011 collection includes a series of t-shirts by animator JJ Villard. A graduate of CalArts, JJ has worked on huge Hollywood films such as Shrek the Third, Shrek Forever After and Monsters vs. Aliens before landing his current gig at Cartoon Network/Adult Swim. JJs personal work is drastically different from the high profile projects he typically works on. Inspired by 80s pop culture, horror films and things of a darker nature, JJ used the idea of a sketchbook to inspire his tees.

Nike x Stussy Sky Force 88 Mid TierZero

Per quelli che non sono sempre sul “pezzo” tranquilli vi spiego di cosa si tratta. Sicuro di una collaborazione, e fino a lì c’eravate arrivati da soli. L’ospite è anche illustre, Stussy, che ha sempre fatto tutto esaurito ad ogni sua uscita su Nike.
Il pack è composto da quattro versioni di Nike Sky Force 88 Mid, due con puntale e pannelli laterali in camo, e due totalmente in pelle. Le versioni in penombra che vedete qui, per mantenere alto l’hype, camo e non, usciranno il 9 luglio come TierZero, quindi stralimitate. Segnato in agenda?

Stussy x Vans Sk8-Hi ‘SS Huricane’

Non ci sono parole esatte su quale regione potrà fruire di questa collaborazione. Certo è il Giappone dove gli sneakers head potranno aggiungere alla loro collezione queste Vans Sk8-Hi ‘SS Huricane’, un mix di suede e pelle, in collaborazione con Stussy. Appena avremo news ve le comunicheremo. Rimanete in ascolto.

Fergadelic x Stussy Summer 2011 Collection

Per la collezione Stussy Summer 2011, il brand ha lavorato con l’artstia inglese Fergus Purcell aka Fergadelic. Conosciuto per i suoi lavori per Silas e Tonite, Fergadelica ha creato una serie di t-shirt che mixano le iconiche immagini di guerra con il suo senso dell’umorismo. Per raccontare questa nuova collaborazione, Stussy ha catturato Fergadelic nella sua casa di Londra. Ci racconta della sua etica lavorativa e delle origini del suo nome.

For the Stussy Summer 2011 collection, the brand worked with UK artist Fergus Purcell aka Fergadelic. Known for his work with Silas and Tonite, Fergadelic created a series of t-shirts that mix iconic military photography with his own twisted sense of humor. They caught up with Fergadelic at his London home to talk about how he learned to draw, his work ethic and the origins of his name.
